Together We Win
Ephesians 4:16
One Christmas my brother gave me and my husband a card game, called Steller Factory Spaceteam. We read the directions to guide us and after we had a good idea how to play, we decided to just go right into the game. The basis of the game is that you work as a team together to fix and repair the spaceship, so that the spaceship can work again. You get handed these tools that help you repair the broken parts of the ship. Each person has only one or two tools. It's not like one person has all the tools. You have to work together. However, the tricky part is that some unexpected occurrences happen. You get specific cards that distract you or push you back to fix the spaceship. I remember one time, one of our teammates (family members) got a card where they get detached and fly away. But you need your team mates to bring you back in; as if they are pulling you back towards the ship. However, the person drifting away can’t yell out to say, “help me!” The person drifting away has to wait until the teammates notice.
Isn’t that just like in real life? You know, as Christians, we are part of a church and universal church.
“The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ. Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves, and some are free. But we have all been baptized into one body by one Spirit, and we all share the same Spirit.”
1 Corinthians 12:12-13
Let’s uplift others around us.
Let’s pray for others around us.
Church, let’s win together.
Application:
Are you being a loving church member? Are you praying for your friends, family, and community? Are you using your gifts to help those around you and uplift others?
Remember, you aren’t alone in this big world.
