  • Client Portal: We use the SimplePractice Portal, which features bank-level encryption, PCI DSS-compliant payment processing, and end-to-end security to protect your Protected Health Information (PHI).

  • Secure Communications: We provide encrypted messaging options if you need to contact us via phone, text, or fax. 

While we take rigorous steps to maintain secure digital infrastructure, please be aware that no electronic method of storage is completely guaranteed. 

How Do We Use the Information We Collect? To get started as an EBCC client, we'll ask you to fill out a quick pre-screener on SimplePractice, our secure and HIPAA-compliant site. We'll need a few details to set up your profile, including your driver's license, email, and basic demographics. We promise to keep your information strictly confidential. We only use your contact details for billing, and your date of birth and gender help us securely verify your identity. Your data is never sold or shared, and we only disclose it if you give us permission or if the law requires it.

Our Use of Log Files When you visit our site, we automatically log your IP address, your browser type, and your access times. We utilize this information to conduct site performance evaluations, to determine where visitors are coming from, and to track click stream data (the screens our users visit on our site). This data helps us determine what content our members find most appealing, allowing us to maximize your use of the site. Log files are not tied to personally identifiable information.

Site Security All EBCC employees take your personal information very seriously. Every staff member is required to learn and adhere to our security policies, which ensure full compliance with HIPAA. Access to member information is strictly limited to authorized management personnel. Furthermore, all data remains password-protected and is safeguarded using SSL/TLS encryption.

Correcting/Updating Your Personal Information As an EBCC client, you can update your personal information directly through your SimplePractice Portal or by contacting your provider. To discontinue services, please speak with your counselor directly or reach out via the ‘Contact Us’ page.

Administrative emails will not contain HIPAA Compliant information. If you opt-in to our newsletters, they will contain promotional materials.
