GOD’S WILL = OUR WILL
GALATIANS 5:13
Have you ever been so hyper focused on what career to go towards? What is God’s will for your life? Or have you heard of the phrase, “I was called for...”? It’s a lot of pressure on oneself to focus on such a far future ahead of you.
In life, it's not that simple.
You get curve balls from external occurrences that are out of your control. You get distracted because of the internal messiness of heart motives (strong emotions). So, what is God’s call for our life? I have good news. Your calling is not your career.
Your calling is to serve.
As Christians, we were created to love and serve God’s kingdom for His glory. God created us knowing already our personalities. As humans we have free will to choose a career that we love and excites us (our aspirations in life). However, to do so, “but through love serving one another.” God doesn’t care what career we choose, so long as, we are staying on the narrow path with Him. (Proverbs 3:6) Let His truth be your guiding force in this world (Psalm 119:105).
Church, do not fear what is ahead. God already knows our hearts and passions (Psalm 37:4).
God is a good God.
“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
Colossians 3:17
Application
Where is your heart gravitating towards? Are your worries about your future too strong?
Remember, God wants to have a relationship with you in prayer. Talk to Him about your worries and desires. He is always listening and knows you deeply.
